The Rhododendron Garden

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Sam and I revisited The Chrystal Springs Rhododendron Garden and got swept away by its tranquility and just pure gorgeousness. Naturally I brought my camera and I was insanely inspired by our lush surroundings. It was such a beautiful, warm day too. This was one of the first warm, sunny days we had had in such a long time. I can’t tell you how good it feels to come out of such a harsh, long winter and get a toasty embrace by the sun like that. Anyways, not only had it been awhile since we felt the kiss of the sun on our skin, but it had also been a long time since I took pictures and felt really creative and free. It was one of those shooting experiences where I was completely lost in where I was and what I was photographing. Just bliss. I need to invite more experiences like that into my life. More time for seeing new things! That’s when I’m happiest.
