Happy Friday everybody! It’s been a scorcher of a week here in Portland. I’m okay with it since I’m not ready for summer to be over! Give me all the sun! I’m really happy about all the fun stuff I got to do with my family this summer and I’m also happy to say that I started reading books again. Yay! It’s been 3 years since I’ve read an entire book. Ironically, I have my B.A. in English Lit. Haha! For some reason I think I just decided I read too much in college and just happened to take a 3 year break from reading a book. Kinda crazy, I know! Right now I’m on a rock biography kick and loving it.

In other news, I got a job! I’m really stoked about it. I’m the Senior Stylist for a local Portland boutique called Mink. I start today! I’ve got butterflies in my stomach like it’s the first day of school. I’ve essentially not had a job for the length of a summer break, so there you go. Onto new, exciting work adventures!

Make this weekend a great one, you guys! Here are a few links I enjoyed this week:

Just finished reading Man on the Run, all about Paul McCartney in the 70s, post-Beatles. Highly recommend!

The beloved “queen of knitwear,” Sonia Rykiel, dies at 86 yesterday. Here are her best moments in Vogue.

Loved this editorial on Hannah Henderson shot for Doen’s journal.

Excited I get to live vicariously through the adventurous and creative duo Bri Emery and Denise Bovee–they’re currently in the jungles of Belize and snapping gorgeous photos and silly Instagram stories.

Obsessed with this striped Rib-knit dress.

Here are some back-to-school looks inspired by your favorite throwback movies!

I got a kick out of these six weird and wonderful artists’ habits.

Peter Pilotto’s Resort 2017 collection is so colorful and flirty.
